Get the most out of your studio session

Arrive Early

We recommend you come to the studio 10 minutes before your session to help orientate yourself, check out our common areas and find your studio.

Pre-Session

1. Please bring a hard drive to save sessions .
2. Rehearse/Write songs before your session .
3. Send Session files to Hype Studios LA recording engineer prior to session (pro tools files or stems).
4. Check the gear list to make sure all the equipment you need will be available.
5. If you are bringing a lot of equipment, please call the studio prior to the session to schedule a drop off.
6. Print 2-3 copies of any lyrics or score sheets prior to the session.
7. Reach out to your Hype Studios LA recording engineer the day before to specify details for your session.
8. The main tasks of your Hype studios LA recording engineer is to help with recording, rough mixing, and structural arrangement during the session . Adding Composition/production is not a requirement of our engineers .
9. Hype Studios LA uses the industry standard Pro Tools. If you produce or record in other Daw please bounce out stems and convert projects prior to your session.

During Your Session

1. During: (Self Preference) Avoid allowing any distraction(s) in your session and prioritize what needs to get done under the amount of time booked in the studio. This will guarantee a satisfying result.

After Session

1. You will receive a rough mix directly after your session. Please specify if you would like a full mix (Additional pricing ) .
2. If you would like a session emailed to you please let your Hype Studios LA recording engineer know ( limit2gb) . We advise that all clients bring a Hard drive to store all project files. Hype Studios LA is not responsible for storing clients files.
3. Please clean up trash after your session.
4. The studio may be booked directly after you so please make sure you’re packing up five minutes before the end of your session.
